Cast & Crew

The cast and crew of the show came on board for the love of the project and each other. With that combination they managed to pull off the impossible, shooting everything at lightning speed for practically zero budget. The group is excited to share their work with the world as well as find sponsorship for future seasons.

Ben attended the Meisner Conservatory at the Laura Henry Studio and has appeared in such shows as MAD MEN, GREY’S ANATOMY, AMERICAN DREAMS, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, ZOEY 101, and LOST TAPES on Animal Planet. Jake Regal (Trent Rain)
Shi-Ne Nelson (Alex Cameron) graduated from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts West and was also part of their third year production company.  Her background was primarily theater based, but after graduating from AADA she has mainly pursued a film and television career.  She has been seen in such tv shows as: Brothers & Sisters, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI:New York and many other episodics and films. She so enjoyed discovering the alternate reality of gaming and the witty lingo and lifestyles of the gamers that created it.  She considers herself an honorary gamer and looks forward to “downing some trashy bosses”……is that right?

Directors

Jeff Ketcham has been working in all areas of production but has always had his eye on directing as a full time job. He started by directing a pilot presentation entitled “Infamous” which was used to sell the web series to 60 Frames enabling him to produce the project. Since then he has taken on a number of shorts and music videos (The Rescues, Booth at Comic Con). TheGameRev.com became a pet project because this offered Jeff the opportunity to take on the pilot setting the look and the tone of the entire show.
James MoranA member of the Director’s Guild of America since 2000 got his start in the trenches in 1993 as a Production Assistant on the TV series “Sea Quest” in Orlando, Florida. He soon earned the privilege of working with Tom Hanks on “From the Earth to the Moon,” and with Adam Sandler on “The Waterboy.” As a 2nd Assistant Director, Moran further honed his craft, lending his talent to “Scream 3,” “Punk Drunk Love,” and the hit WB series “Gilmore Girls” where Moran took the helm as 1st AD. James has been directing many smaller projects such as “Revelation and the Atomic Wedgie” which won the Audience Award in Atlanta’s 48 hour Film Project. He has been collaborating with many well known names and has a few feature films in development through TruMac Film. Moran plans to premiere the action packed short “Lost Rites” starring Johnathon Schaech, Emily Kuroda, and Paula Shaw soon.
Craig Bonacorsi makes his directing debut in TheGameRev.com. Starting off on the other side of the camera as an actor; then broadening his scope to include writing, it was a natural step for him to take a shot at directing. Craig is always excited to get on a film set and make his thoughts into a reality that he can share with others. (Directed episode 5)
Pharaba Hacker-Witt works as a producer and a writer and loves creating with other people. Directing has always been something she was interested in but for TV in the sense she really likes working with established characters and building from an already established platform. This seemed like the perfect place to try out her episodic abilities taking over the only “girly” webisode. (Directed episode 7)

Writers

Craig Bonacorsi is a Michigan native who started off as an actor and found a love for writing. His first produced webseries was a dark comedy called “Infamous.” His next web endeavor is this project, “TheGameRev.com.” Writing everything from action features to dramatic pilots, Craig is always excited to see his ideas come to life on the screen. He is currently in production on a short drama he wrote called TO THOSE WHO LEFT US BEHIND and two other comedy webseries called “Bite Me” and “Stripped.”

Pharaba Hacker-Witt came up with the idea for TheGameRev.com only because of Craig, Ben, Jeff, Leo, AJ…the list could go on forever of the boys she is surrounded with who are obsessed with video games. Anyway, they inspired her to pander to their audience and it became a truly fun endeavor as they worked up real characters and the boys taught her many things, some of which she never wanted to know. Fapping, really? She continues to write including a recently finished YA novel (LORI STINSON, TIME TRAVELING GODDESS), a few feature films (HOW TO CATCH A PRINCE and DEATHCATS), and other web series including “Stripped” and “Reckless Instinct.”

Ben Perry You probably know Ben Perry best for his short story work in 6th Grade detailing the life of a heroic lesser panda or for his space adventure extravaganza starring world famous alien eliminator Conrad Wheeler.  If neither of those are ringing a bell, then you’ll probably one day recall his future work as the author of the terrifyingly cuddly horror film ‘Mega Bunny’, or as the blaspheming heathen who split your sides with the heavenly legal romp ‘Gary the Angel’.  When approached by Craig Bonacorsi with an opportunity to co-write and star in a piece set largely within the scope of his own usual day to day tedium, Ben was just lazy enough to sign on.  ”Just imagine, one day we may be paid to speak with hot girls and play video games.”  That’s one raid worth logging in for.  Keep your eyes peeled for future Perry-Bonacorsi joints involving Failed Vampires and their groupies.

Executive Producers

Jeff Ketcham grew up in Ohio and while most students took time to relax in the summer, Jeff used it as an opportunity to jumpstart his career in Hollywood taking internships in Los Angeles. A mere three days after graduating from Miami University (Ohio) he packed everything in his Kia and started working in the production office on projects such as BENCHWARMERS, CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS, and BEWITCHED. Jeff advanced his career working on many Happy Madison projects endearing himself to the prolific group and winning himself a full time job with the company. While he loves his work with Happy, he still pursues his directing and producing dreams by working on independent projects such as “Infamous,” “Stripped,” and “TheGameRev.com” not to mention shooting music videos for up and coming bands such as The Rescues.

Pharaba Hacker-Witt grew up in Florida, went to the University of Alabama, and then moved to Los Angeles by way of Yellowstone and Mammoth Lakes.  She started her film career working in longform TV, production, director’s assistant, finally post production for HBO.  Moving onto Alliance Atlantis she was coordinator for 6 MOW’s and Minis concurrently and eventually became CE.  Taking her talents to a fledgling company she began focusing on series television until she decided to open her own company.  She has set on the independent path putting together a number of shorts as well as selling and producing INFAMOUS, a webseries.  Recently she did her first comic book adaptation LOST RITES.  She has a number of series in development, including THE POINT, REVOLVING DOOR, and GAME REV.  UNDER THE DESERT SUN is her first completed feature.

Producer-Craig Bonacorsi is always looking for a new challenge and having co-created TheGameRev.com he stepped up and decided to put on a producing hat. Being thoroughly involved in the decision making process has been a fun yet frustrating challenge. He enjoys being able to put his stamp on more of the project and uses his new knowledge to be a better writer and actor. It helps to know all facets of production to be a better member of a team. He so loved the experience he is now Executive Producing his own short “To those Who Left Us Behind” in the hopes of obtaining interest to fund and shoot the feature.
